Job summary

KYDA Partners is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineering Manager to own reliability, security and performance of enterprise IT across multiple sites. You will combine hands-on network and Azure expertise with strong cybersecurity leadership.

Based on-site in San Antonio, TX, you will oversee network, Azure, backups, disaster recovery, and coordinate with external security partners while reporting to senior IT leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years IT infrastructure or network engineering experience, including 3+ years in a senior/leadership role.
• Strong hands-on enterprise networking experience (routing, switching, wireless, firewall tech such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco).
• Practical experience administering Microsoft Azure infrastructure and Entra ID.
• Experience managing cloud and on-premises infrastructure across multi-site environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity operations (SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability scanning, incident response).
• Experience with managed security service providers or external cybersecurity advisory partners.
• Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO 27001).
• Experience with monitoring, patch management, backup solutions and disaster recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation and communication skills; ability to explain risks to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive ownership mindset; coordinate external partners and drive improvements.
• Experience in regulated environments (life sciences/medical devices) is a plus.
• Additional: ITIL, automation (PowerShell, Terraform, Bicep), SD-WAN or acquisitions integration; relevant certifications (CCNP, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, AZ-104/700/500, Security+, CySA+, CISSP).

Responsibilities

• Manage enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, switches, wireless networks and secure connectivity.
• Administer and optimiz Microsoft Azure infrastructure, including virtual networks, compute, storage, backup services and Microsoft Entra ID.
• Maintain network segmentation, VPNs, access controls and secure remote access solutions.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, performance and capacity, identifying and resolving issues before they impact business operations.
• Oversee cybersecurity operations, including security monitoring, SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Work closely with external cybersecurity partners to coordinate threat monitoring, escalations and remediation activities.
• Managing infrastructure patching, firmware updates, security hardening and technology lifecycle improvements.
• Maintaining disaster recovery, backup and business continuity capabilities, including recovery testing.
• Supporting infrastructure deployment and integration for new facilities, business expansions and acquisitions.
• Ensuring infrastructure changes, technical documentation and operational procedures meet quality and compliance requirements.
• Managing relationships with infrastructure vendors, carriers and service providers.
• Reporting infrastructure performance, cybersecurity risks and operational improvements to senior IT leadership.
