Job summary

Acuity Inc. is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to design, secure, deploy, and maintain highly available network infrastructure both on-site and in the cloud (Azure).

You will work with LAN admins and security teams to improve availability, reliability, and performance of products and services. Remote work is the norm for our distributed teams; 7+ years of experience and strong firewall/VPN skills are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience with highly available distributed systems.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Build site-to-site VPN tunnels and secure connections.
• Maintain a secure limited access firewall rule base.
• Build network configurations across LAN and WAN; troubleshoot issues.
• IP address allocation and maintenance to avoid overlaps.
• Maintain firmware on switches, APs, load balancers, and other devices.
• Network segmentation and secure access controls.
• Configure Voice and Call Center systems.
• Lead incident resolution and postmortems; monitor systems.
• Design and implement monitoring and automation tools.
• Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure uptime.
