Job summary

Vaco by Highspring is seeking a seasoned Manager, Infrastructure to lead a enterprise IT environment in San Antonio, TX. You will drive strategy, reliability, and security while mentoring a technical team and remaining hands-on as needed.

The role oversees networking, servers, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage, and related infrastructure, with focus on automation, upgrades, and disaster recovery. Strong leadership and technical depth are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems, network engineering, or related discipline.
• 3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise networking, systems, cloud, virtualization, and storage.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 technologies.
• Familiarity with automation or scripting such as PowerShell or Python.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the infrastructure team while providing technical direction and mentorship.
• Oversee enterprise networking, servers, cloud platforms, virtualization, storage, and related infrastructure.
• Manage and support Microsoft technologies including Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID.
• Support virtualized environments utilizing VMware, Hyper-V, and Nutanix.
• Ensure infrastructure environments are secure, reliable, scalable, and highly available.
• Lead infrastructure upgrades, migrations, implementations, and modernization initiatives.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, incident response, and infrastructure security initiatives.
• Partner with security, application, and business teams on projects and priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure through automation and scripting.
• Manage vendors, technology partners, licensing, and infrastructure-related services.
