Job summary

Bank of America is seeking an experienced network engineer to design and operate Cisco-based wired and SD-WAN branch networks across large-scale environments. You will ensure secure, resilient connectivity and align with enterprise standards while driving automation with Catalyst Center.

The role requires senior-level guidance, mentoring, incident response, change control, and collaboration with architecture, security, and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Cisco routing and switching in enterprise campus/branch designs
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA Center) for automation, monitoring, lifecycle management
• Experience deploying and operating SD‑WAN solutions in distributed branch environments
• Working knowledge of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) and Cisco ISE for identity-based access control
• Experience supporting production networks with problem management and structured change processes
• Solid understanding of solution design, architecture principles, and enterprise governance
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation frameworks applied to network engineering
• Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall delivery models and cross-team delivery processes
• Ability to translate business needs into enterprise-grade network architectures
• Mentoring and guiding infrastructure resources to ensure standards compliance

Responsibilities

• Translates requirements into technical definitions, blueprints, and playbooks for solution delivery
• Contributes to functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements
• Reviews and develops software solutions to automate manual tasks
• Guides evaluation of reference models and deploys third-party products with governance
• Mentors infrastructure staff on validation methods and enterprise standards
• Promotes an inclusive, healthy work environment and removes blockers
• Designs enterprise-grade network architectures for large-scale branch environments
• Designs and supports Cisco-based wired and SD‑WAN branch networks
• Leverages Catalyst Center to drive automation and visibility across sites
• Performs on-site and lab evaluations of networking and security products
• Develops automation and software-based solutions to improve reliability at scale
• Provides senior-level guidance to analysts and engineers on standards and security
