Job summary

Banc of California is seeking a Network Engineer to implement, monitor, and optimize our enterprise network infrastructure. You will ensure availability, performance, and security while supporting IT initiatives and day-to-day operations.

The role requires 3–5 years in enterprise networks, strong TCP/IP and security knowledge, and experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Azure networking. A related degree and certifications are preferred, with a direct impact on banking operations.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in enterprise network environments.
• Experience with LAN/WAN design, implementation, and support.
• Experience with network security and capacity planning.
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, Cisco switching and routing, Palo Alto firewalls, Azure networking.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certifications preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Implement, configure, monitor, and support network infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and security issues.
• Support server, operating system, and infrastructure deployments.
• Monitor and maintain network security technologies.
• Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and improvement projects.
• Create and maintain network diagrams, procedures, and documentation.
• Collaborate with IT teams to resolve infrastructure issues.
• Maintain asset inventory and configuration records.
• Provide after-hours incident response and escalation support.
• Research and recommend solutions to improve reliability, scalability, and security.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and implement services.
• Ensure compliance with information security standards and regulatory requirements.
• Document all activities and projects.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
