Job summary

Zebra Technologies Corporation in Lincolnshire, IL is seeking an Infrastructure Architect who will design and deploy secure, scalable infrastructure aligned with business needs and Zebra IT standards, with emphasis on cloud enablement and zero-trust security.

You will collaborate with IT solution architects, manage SIP and EOL processes, leverage AI for workflow automation, and guide engineering teams across Linux and Windows server environments, including GKE, Cloud Run, EKS, and AKS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (2+ years).
• Excel analysis and data management (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions).
• Visio diagram creation and shape manipulation.
• Cross-platform server infrastructure design (Linux/Windows).
• Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and serverless containers (GKE, Cloud Run, EKS, AKS).
• Networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing) for server connectivity.
• Enterprise security architecture knowledge.
• Experience using AI for workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Solution Engineering Architect Collaboration: validate server/storage designs align with technical vision, security and capacity requirements.
• Evaluate end-to-end solution cost and assess infrastructure risks for new deployments.
• Actively manage preliminary server intake requests and SIP processes.
• Generate quarterly SLO reports for SIP requests and perform EOL/SIP reporting.
• Lead architecture and SIP meetings for EOL when SIP manager is out.
• Leverage AI and automation to reduce manual efforts for SIP and EOL processes and documentation.
• Coordinate with business units on decommissioning aging IT systems.
