Job summary

Zebra Technologies in Lincolnshire, IL is seeking a Solutions Engineering Architect to design and deploy scalable infrastructure across global IT ecosystems, with emphasis on cloud enablement and zero-trust security. You will partner with IT Solution Architects to validate server and storage designs and guide engineering teams to deliver secure platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree. Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelors degree.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Excel analysis and data management (e.g., pivot tables, lookup functions).
• Visio diagram creation and shape manipulation.
• Cross-platform expertise in Linux and Windows server infrastructure design and system requirements.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) and serverless containers (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run, EKS, AKS).
• Strong understanding of Enterprise security architecture and AI for workflow automation.

Responsibilities

• Solution Engineering Architect Collaboration: Partners with IT Solution Architects to validate server/storage designs against vision, security, and capacity.
• Service Intake Process (SIP): Manage preliminary server intake requests and assist SIP execution.
• SLO Metric and Reporting: Generate quarterly SIP SLO reports and monitor EOL/SIP reporting.
• Backup SIP Coverage: Lead SIP meetings when SIP manager/coordinators are out.
• AI and Automation: Leverage AI to reduce manual efforts for SIP and EOL processes and documentation.
• End-of-Life (EOL) Process Lead: Coordinate decommissioning of aging IT systems.
