Reddit is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join the cross-functional architecture and end-to-end delivery teams. You will translate business and user needs into reliable, low-latency technical solutions and own major product initiatives from design through rollout and observability.

The role emphasizes distributed systems, API performance, mentoring teammates, and applying data-driven decisions using experiments and tools like BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building internet-scale software, preferably distributed systems infrastructure or infrastructure security.
• Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages: Golang, Python, C++, Java.
• Experience with essential cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, CI/CD, AWS, GCP).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Data Science, and Client Engineers to translate needs into reliable, low-latency solutions.
• Own the full software lifecycle for major product initiatives from design docs to rollout and observability.
• Design and evaluate A/B experiments and analyze user behavior using tools like BigQuery, HEX, or Firebase.
