Responsibilities:

  • Interface with Sony GISC team as operating company lead for Microsoft 365 Platform.
  • Analyze problems and identify the root cause through coordination of internal and external support resources including the investigation of online knowledge bases and creating test environments to replicate any fault.
  • Prioritize support requests effectively to ensure compliance with agreed Service Levels.
  • Respond to critical incidents outside of standard office hours.
  • By agreement with the manager, work outside of standard office hours to minimize adverse business impact when implementing IT changes or performing planned activities.
  • As part of the Infrastructure Support Team, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the IT Network, Database and System Infrastructure.
  • Work with Sony Corporate to coordinate/aid with any corporate initiatives, and to ensure compliance with corporate standards and policies.
  • Work with the Information Security and Privacy teams to ensure all activities are compliant with Sony Group policies and procedures.
  • Escalate and then coordinate issues and problems with internal / external third-party support.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 5+ years of technical support experience.
  • Monitor backups to ensure all business data is backed up and restorable.
  • Provide support to the Service Desk as needed.
  • Perform and coordinate regular patching for all IT infrastructure including servers, databases, networking, PCs and applications.
  • Maintain configuration information relevant to network (LAN, WAN, VPN), server and database infrastructure.
  • Support the Service Desk team in maintaining the physical asset register for network (LAN, WAN, VPN) and server assets.
  • Perform and coordinate regular patching for all IT infrastructure including servers, databases, networking, PCs and applications.
  • Ensure all required tooling for monitoring and alerting of all appropriate infrastructure services is functioning correctly.
  • Support the technical production and testing of the IT Continuity plan creating and documenting processes and procedures to ensure the timely recovery of the systems in the event of a disaster.
  • Provide support and administration functions for database servers.
  • Provide support for IT applications.
  • Perform system administration of the network (LAN, WAN, VPN), server, database infrastructure including upgrading hardware, installing software and monitoring performance.
  • Manage and deliver IT projects within the agreed upon scope and time.

Required Skills/Competencies:

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and Microsoft 365 Administration.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Windows/Linux server administration.
  • TCP/IP, SMB.
  • Local networking, switching, and routing concepts.
  • Wide area networking.

Work Requirements:

  • Availability and flexibility to accommodate hours occasionally extending outside of regular schedule due to collaboration with coworkers in different time zones to support the United Kingdom, Asia and Los Angeles-based teams, as needed.
  • 7.5-hour business workday 3 – 4 days in the office but variations in work volume frequently require extended working hours for evening and late-night events.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
