Job summary

Metron in Reston, VA seeks a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer to build, deploy, and operate mission-focused software in production. You will improve how software moves from development into operations, ensuring reliability, observability, and maintainability.

Responsibilities include containerized deployments, release automation, production monitoring, incident response, and external system integrations. Strong hands-on with Kubernetes, Helm, Docker and software deployment lifecycles are

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, applied math, or related field
• At least 3 years of industry experience
• Active TS/SCI Security Clearance
• Experience in Helm, Kubernetes, and Docker
• Proven experience and understanding of software deployment lifecycles on both cloud platforms and local on-premises hardware
• Software Development experience in Java, Rust or Typescript/React
• Ability to translate technical concepts into usable software with researchers, engineers, and end users
• Familiarity with full-stack web application development in any frameworks/languages
• U.S. CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED; security investigation eligibility

Responsibilities

• Build release pipelines to deploy code both on-premises and on deployed systems
• Incident Response to ensure high uptime of deployed software
• Facilitate integrations with other systems
