Job summary
Metron Inc. in Reston, VA seeks a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer to build, deploy, and operate mission-focused software in production.
You will improve how software moves from development into operations, ensuring reliability, observability, and maintainability across containerized deployments, release automation, monitoring, incidents, and integrations with external systems. The strongest candidates will have hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker, solid software development
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS, math, physics, applied math, or related field
- At least 3 years of industry experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm and Docker
- Software deployment lifecycles on cloud and on‑premises
- Software development experience in Java, Rust or TypeScript/React
- Ability to translate technical concepts for researchers, engineers and end users
- Familiarity with full-stack web development in common frameworks/languages
Responsibilities
- Build release pipelines to deploy code on‑premises and deployed systems
- Incident response to maintain high uptime of deployed software
- Facilitate integrations with other systems
