Job summary
Metron is seeking a mid-level Infrastructure Engineer in Reston, VA to build, deploy, and operate mission-focused software in production. You will improve how software moves from development to operations, ensuring reliable, observable, and maintainable environments.
You will work across containerized deployments, release automation, production monitoring, incident response, and system integrations, with hands-on use of Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker.
Qualifications
- BS degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of industry experience
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker
- Experience deploying software lifecycles on cloud and on-prem
- Software development in Java, Rust, or Typescript/React
- Ability to translate technical concepts for researchers, engineers, and end users
- Familiarity with full-stack web app development in any framework/language
- U.S. Citizenship required; security investigations for access to classified information
Responsibilities
- Build release pipelines to deploy code on-premises and to deployed systems
- Incident response to ensure high uptime of deployed software
- Facilitate integrations with other systems
