Job summary

NS2 Mission in Herndon, VA is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud environments that support data-intensive workloads. You will work with software, platform, and DevOps teams using Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, and observability tools to ensure high availability and reliable service delivery.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree and hands-on cloud engineering experience, and it may require U.S. security clearance (TS/SCI).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure engineering, cloud engineering, or DevOps initiatives.
• Kubernetes in production or enterprise environments.
• Strong working knowledge of AWS (EKS, EC2, S3).
• IaC with Terraform or similar tools.
• Routing, DNS, and networking concepts in distributed environments.
• Experience with RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Monitoring, logging, alerts, and observability practices.
• DevOps automation and CI/CD experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain scalable infrastructure to support high-volume data workloads.
• Manage containerized environments using Kubernetes including deployment, configuration, and scaling.
• Build and optimize AWS infrastructure with EKS, EC2, and S3.
• Automate provisioning with Terraform.
• Develop reliable routing and DNS solutions for high availability.
• Configure messaging platforms like RabbitMQ and Kafka.
• Implement monitoring and observability with Grafana and related tools.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
• Troubleshoot complex infra, networking, and app issues.
• Apply cloud security and best practices to improve reliability.
