Job summary

Metron is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer in San Diego to secure software delivery end-to-end across CI/CD workflows and the software supply chain. The role collaborates with software, cybersecurity, and platform teams to embed security, quality, and compliance into pipelines, with occasional after-hours support.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, hands-on Azure DevOps, Kubernetes/K3s, and scripting skills. Active U.S.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in DevOps/DevSecOps, platform engineering, or related technical roles.
• Hands-on with Azure DevOps pipelines, YAML, build/release workflows and artifacts.
• Experience embedding security, quality, and compliance in CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with SAST, SCA, dependency scanning, secrets handling, or container scanning.
• Troubleshooting CI/CD failures, deployment issues, and dependencies.
• Kubernetes/K3s, containers, Helm, or equivalent deployment tech.
• Scripting in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Ability to write clear technical docs, runbooks, onboarding guides, and troubleshooting steps.
• Active U.S. Secret Clearance and eligible for TS/SCI Clearance.
• Willing to work in regulated, secure environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and improve secure CI/CD patterns in Azure DevOps.
• Support secure release workflows across dev, test, integration, and prod.
• Troubleshoot pipeline failures, permission issues, and release blockers.
• Integrate security and quality checks (SAST, SCA, scanning) into pipelines.
• Partner with cybersecurity to align controls with SSP, RMF, NIST, and CMMC.
• Develop Kubernetes guardrails, Helm charts, RBAC, and onboarding docs.
