Job summary

i3 Broadband is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to manage and improve core infrastructure platforms, including virtualization, servers, storage, backup, and cloud services. You will work with Cybersecurity, Network Engineering, and Software Engineering teams to ensure reliable, secure operations.

The role emphasizes operational excellence, lifecycle management, automation using PowerShell, and modernization initiatives across Cape Girardeau and other company locations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in IT/infosec or related field.
• 5+ years in infrastructure, virtualization, cloud, or data-center operations.
• Hands-on with VMware, Windows Server, storage, backup, identity services, and monitoring.
• Experience with Veeam, Microsoft 365/Entra, AD and PowerShell automation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESXi, clusters, and VMs.
• Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot server infrastructure.
• Support Windows Server OS, enterprise hardware, and datacenter tech.
• Monitor utilization and capacity planning; optimize performance.
• Coordinate deployments, upgrades, migrations, and lifecycle activities.
• Maintain data center operations, inventories, and documentation.
