Job summary

Shepherd Insurance, LLC in Carmel, IN is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own the day-to-day health, reliability, and security of our core tech infrastructure. You will manage Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, Active Directory, network gear, backups, and endpoint management, while documenting standards to scale with the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in IT/CS or related field.
• At least 5 years in a similar infrastructure role.
• Experience with Windows and Linux servers, AD, and virtualization.
• Experience with Fortinet security, VPNs, and network services.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Intune, and Autopilot.

Responsibilities

• Manage Windows and Linux servers, patching, maintenance, and reboots.
• Administer VMware/Hyper‑V virtualization and ensure uptime.
• Monitor logs and resources to preempt issues.
• Manage Fortinet firewalls, VPNs, and network devices.
• Administer DNS/DHCP and central network services.
• Support AD, Intune/Autopilot, and Office 365 migrations.
