Job summary

Do it Best Group in Fort Wayne, IN seeks a Systems Engineer to manage provisioning, configuration, operation, and maintenance of servers, storage, and network infrastructure. The role supports ongoing innovation in the IT infrastructure with a focus on reliability and security.

You will perform security monitoring, apply patches, install and rebuild servers, back up data, and maintain system standards while collaborating with stakeholders across IT.

Qualifications

• Experience diagnosing and repairing software/hardware issues; able to troubleshoot complex problems.
• Professional certifications and/or coursework relevant to systems engineering.
• High school diploma or equivalent with additional technical education.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular security monitoring to identify intrusions and respond as needed.
• Apply OS patches, upgrades, and configure new services per standards.
• Install or rebuild servers, configure hardware, storage, and related services.
• Maintain installation/configuration procedures and system standards.
• Monitor daily system health, logs, and scheduled jobs for all components.
• Perform backups and regular archival tasks; ensure data integrity.
• Create/modify/delete user accounts and manage access control.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Conduct performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and capacity planning.
