Job summary

Ashton North LLC in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an IT Engineer onsite to bridge cloud, virtualization, networking, security, and automation. You will own end-to-end infrastructure tasks and collaborate with software teams to deliver reliable environments that support rapid development iterations.

The right candidate will design and operate Azure/M365, VMware, AD, firewalls, and automation workflows, ensuring robust security and efficient Dev/Test support for multiple development teams.

• Networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, and firewalls
• Endpoint security and systems administration

Responsibilities

• Own Azure and Microsoft 365 administration and governance
• Manage VMware vSphere environments and host resources
• Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy
• Administer network infrastructure, firewalls, and security controls
• Oversee endpoint management and security across devices
• Develop PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks
• Support developer teams in Dev/Test environments
• Monitor infrastructure, backups, and disaster recovery plans

This is not a traditional systems administration role.

My client is looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who understands how cloud services, virtualization, networking, security, and automation work together to support a high-performance software development environment.

The strongest candidates don't simply administer systems. They understand why systems are designed a certain way, how technical decisions impact reliability and security, and how infrastructure choices support the business.
