Job summary

Markent Personnel is seeking a hands-on IT Infrastructure Engineer in Las Vegas to join onsite operations. You will work across cloud services, virtualization, networking, security, and automation to support a high-performance software development environment.

The role emphasizes understanding why infrastructure choices matter to reliability and security, and how they align with business goals. You will own Azure/M365, VMware, AD/DNS/DHCP, and network security in a dynamic team setting.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with Azure and Microsoft 365 administration.
• Experience managing VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
• Solid understanding of AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Strong networking fundamentals including VLANs, routing, and firewalls.
• Proficiency in endpoint security and systems administration.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Own and operate Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi and related virtualization infrastructure.
• Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Secure network infrastructure and endpoints; manage firewalls.
• Develop automation with PowerShell to improve processes.
• Support Dev/Test environments for software development teams.
• Maintain infrastructure monitoring, backup, and disaster recovery.

My client is looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who understands how cloud services, virtualization, networking, security, and automation work together to support a high-performance software development environment.

The strongest candidates don't simply administer systems. They understand why systems are designed a certain way, how technical decisions impact reliability and security, and how infrastructure choices support the business.
