Job summary

RON SUNSHINE ASSOCIATES LLC in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an IT Engineer to join onsite. The role focuses on hands-on infrastructure engineering across cloud, virtualization, networking, security, and automation to support a high-performance software development environment.

You'll own Azure/M365 administration, VMware vSphere, AD/DNS/DHCP/GP, security, PowerShell automation, and Dev/Test support. The ideal candidate understands how infrastructure decisions impact reliability and business goals.

Qualifications

• Hands-on infrastructure engineer with cloud, virtualization, networking and security know-how.
• Experience managing Azure/M365, VMware vSphere, AD/DNS/DHCP/GP and endpoint security.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills for process improvements.
• Familiarity with Dev/Test environments and infrastructure monitoring/DR fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Administer Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Manage VMware vSphere/ESXi clusters and vCenter operations.
• Maintain AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy configurations.
• Oversee networking, firewalls, and security controls.
• Handle endpoint management and security tooling.
• Develop PowerShell automation to streamline processes.
• Support Dev/Test environments for software teams.
• Monitor infrastructure, backups and disaster recovery planning.

This is not a traditional systems administration role.

My client is looking for a hands-on Infrastructure Engineer who understands how cloud services, virtualization, networking, security, and automation work together to support a high-performance software development environment.

The strongest candidates don't simply administer systems. They understand why systems are designed a certain way, how technical decisions impact reliability and security, and how infrastructure choices support the business.
