Job summary

Cox Enterprises is seeking an IT Intern - Technical Management to gain hands-on experience supporting Linux/Windows servers and cloud tools across on‑prem and cloud environments. You’ll work with a mentor, contribute to technical docs, and help implement new cloud concepts while developing practical IT skills.

You will participate in data analysis, server builds, and discovery of cloud tools in a collaborative, fast-paced setting that values curiosity and problem solving.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, CIS, MIS, or related field with GPA ≥3.0.
• Strong communication and organization skills; professional demeanour.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working independently and using judgement.
• Technical ability to work in a multi-platform environment.
• Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems; understanding of Azure/AWS cloud concepts.

Responsibilities

• Create written documents supporting new processes, technical design, or implementation.
• Contribute ideas to help the technology org innovate to meet business needs.
• Assist in data collection/analysis for presentations to upper management.
• Assist with build-out of Linux/Windows servers on premise and in the Cloud.
• Assist with discovery and implementation of Cloud tools and Cloud Operations concepts.
• Perform introductory Linux/Windows admin tasks under supervision.
