CompuCom Staffing, a division of CompuCom Systems, Inc., seeks an Infrastructure Administrator (Windows/Linux) for a 1-year contract with potential extensions. The role is hybrid in Boston, MA, focusing on server OS/hardware, remote end-user support, system installation and maintenance, and IT policy implementation.

Candidates should have at least 6+ years supporting Windows servers in enterprise environments, Linux/WSL knowledge, and strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Hardware, software, RAID configurations, and patching experience
  • Proven IT support in an enterprise environment
  • Proficient with Windows OS; Linux/WSL knowledge; MacOS knowledge a plus

  • Ability to work independently and in a regulated environment

Job description

We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Administrator (Windows/Linux) to join our client's support team hybrid inBoston, MA. This is a 1-year Contract with possible annual extensions.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all functions related to server both OS and hardware
  • Provide (remote) first / second-line technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues in a timely manner, escalating problems as needed
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to implement and maintain IT policies and procedures
  • Create and maintain documentation for IT processes, procedures, and configurations
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in IT support
Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience supporting Windows servers required
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in an enterprise environment
  • Must have hardware, software, raid config, and patching experience
  • Proven experience in IT support or a related role in an enterprise environment
  • Proficient in configuring and maintaining Windows operating systems, with additional knowledge of Linux / WSL
  • MacOS knowledge as a plus
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and hardware
  • Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with IT security practices and protocols
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a regulated environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Wage Range

The hourly rate for this position is between $37.50- $50.00 per hour. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
