Job summary

Anduril Industries in Hudson, New Hampshire, is seeking an experienced R&D Engineering Technician to own end-to-end rapid prototyping and testing of infrared optical systems for airborne, maritime, and space platforms. You will fabricate high-quality electro-mechanical assemblies, manage rapid prototyping workflows, and troubleshoot across internal resources and external testing initiatives.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of electro-mechanical technician experience with high-precision micro-assemblies, vacuum systems, or wafer-handling equipment.
• Rapid prototyping ownership from concept to completion, including sourcing, assembling, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Strong working knowledge of basic electrical principles (Ohm's Law, voltage drop, wire sizing).
• Hands-on experience building and routing custom wiring harnesses and power cables with precision soldering and connector assembly.
• Ability to document assembly workflows, redline drawings, and draft SOPs from a technician’s viewpoint.
• Comfort wearing full cleanroom attire and following strict ESD-control protocols.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Build and test new infrared optical systems for airborne, maritime, and space platforms.
• Fabricate, assemble, and ensure high reliability electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Develop and implement integration and test fixtures; operate and monitor test equipment and report results.
• Own internal prototyping resources and manage R&D space facilities.
• Coordinate with external labs and test sites as needed.
