Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience in physics, electrical/electronics, computer, or mechanical engineering.
• 3+ years in production or R&D testing.
• Experience with cryogenics and vacuum systems in testing.
• Proficiency in MATLAB for data acquisition, processing and coding.
• Strong troubleshooting for non-conforming hardware and software; identify electrical and program failures.

Responsibilities

• Test optical equipment according to procedures and specifications.
• Run validation and system-level testing for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve testing issues in optical systems; identify electrical problems and program failures.
• Document results accurately in the system following test work instructions.
• Use MATLAB for data collection, coding, and analysis to support testing.
• Maintain calibration and functioning of test equipment and tools.
• Contribute to root cause analysis of product failures based on testing experience.
• Collaborate with the test engineering team to improve testing processes and efficiency.
