Job summary

Teledyne Imaging Sensors, a unit of Teledyne Technologies, is seeking a Test Engineer to design, build and test world-class infrared focal plane arrays at our onsite fabrication facility. You will develop new test solutions and test stations from concept to production.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Physics with hands-on test-system experience, the ability to work independently, and strong teamwork, communication and scripting/data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics with 3 years hands-on experience in designing, building and running test systems (read out electronics, test electronics and dewars).
• Proven track record in evaluation of infrared imaging sensor arrays and related semiconductor devices.
• Experience in assembling and bringing up electronic and mechanical designs.
• Experience testing with laboratory hardware, and control software.
• Experience with data analysis using scripting software.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, troubleshoot and maintain test stations for production testing.
• Work with mechanical, electrical and software engineering groups to design components for test stations.
• Work closely with the system engineering group to review requirements, test conditions, test results.
• Support in debugging, tuning and characterizing new ROICs, ASICs and detectors.
• Create detailed documentation such as procedures and instructions.
• Tests infrared FPAs to evaluate parts against program specifications.
• Provides test data analysis in the forms of reports and presentations to program managers, internal engineering teams and customers.
