Job summary

SAAZ is seeking a detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our detector team and advance infrared photodetector array fabrication. You will participate in wafer-to-dice fabrication at UCSB Nanofab in Santa Barbara and at our Camarillo partner facility, ensuring high-quality IR focal plane arrays according to ISO standards.

Responsibilities include operating and refining fabrication equipment, documenting results, and collaborating with senior staff to troubleshoot processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or 10 years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on processing of semiconductor devices in ISO 5/6 cleanrooms.
• Min 3 years of semiconductor fabrication experience.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate infrared detector focal plane arrays in ISO cleanrooms.
• Set up and operate lab equipment for production schedules.
• Troubleshoot fabrication processes and document results.
• Collaborate with senior staff on experiments.
