Job summary

Alten USA is seeking an Infotainment Triage Engineer to lead initial investigation and prioritization of software and hardware issues affecting vehicle infotainment systems. You will work across QNX, Android-based platforms, connectivity, diagnostics, CAN communications, cybersecurity interfaces, telematics, and cloud services to rapidly identify root cause ownership and drive resolutions.

Qualifications

3+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems or infotainment.
Experience with automotive development processes and issue tracking.
Familiar with QNX, Android-based platforms, and vehicle networking.
Knowledge of OTA updates and cybersecurity concepts in connected vehicles.

Responsibilities

Analyze and prioritize infotainment issues reported by validation, integration, suppliers, and customers.
Perform initial root cause investigations and determine defect ownership.
Review logs, traces, and diagnostic data; reproduce issues in bench and vehicle environments.
Support defect tracking, escalation, and critical issue prioritization.
Investigate infotainment, QNX, multimedia, navigation, connectivity, and OTA issues to isolate failures.
Analyze CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, LIN, SOME/IP, DoIP, diagnostic protocols.
Coordinate with system architects, validation teams, and program management; develop troubleshooting guides.
