Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA in the automotive sector is seeking an Infotainment Triage Engineer to investigate, diagnose, prioritize, and coordinate software and hardware issues across infotainment systems.

You will work across QNX, Android Automotive, connectivity, diagnostics, CAN/Ethernet, telematics, and cloud-connected services, supporting issue resolution from development and validation through vehicle launch.

Qualifications

• BS degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• 4+ years in automotive embedded systems or infotainment software.
• Experience with debugging, issue tracking and root-cause analysis.
• Familiarity with QNX and Android Automotive platforms.
• Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, UDS, DoIP, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and triage infotainment issues across validation, integration and suppliers.
• Analyze logs, DTCs, crash dumps, CAN data and Android/QNX logs.
• Reproduce issues in bench and vehicle environments and perform root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with software, validation, suppliers and connectivity teams for resolution.
• Support defect tracking, escalation and validation of fixes.
• Develop and improve triage procedures and troubleshooting guides.

Job Summary

We are seeking an Infotainment Triage Engineer responsible for investigating, diagnosing, prioritizing, and coordinating software and hardware issues across automotive infotainment systems.

The engineer will work across QNX, Android Automotive, connectivity, diagnostics, CAN/Ethernet, telematics, and cloud-connected services, supporting issue resolution from development and validation through vehicle launch.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate and triage infotainment issues reported by validation, integration, suppliers, manufacturing, and other teams.
• Analyze logs, traces, DTCs, crash dumps, CAN/network data, Android Logcat, and QNX system logs.
• Reproduce issues in bench and vehicle environments and perform root-cause analysis.
• Determine defect ownership and coordinate with software, systems, validation, suppliers, and connectivity teams for resolution.
• Troubleshoot infotainment systems, Android Automotive, QNX, navigation, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, CarPlay, Android Auto, OTA, and telematics.
• Analyze automotive communication protocols including CAN, CAN FD, Ethernet, LIN, SOME/IP, UDS, and DoIP.
• Support defect tracking, escalation, and validation of software fixes.
• Develop and improve triage procedures, troubleshooting guides, and automation.
• Support critical issue resolution during vehicle development and launch.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in automotive embedded systems, infotainment, connectivity, or software integration.
• Experience with automotive troubleshooting, issue tracking, and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with QNX and/or Android Automotive platforms.
• Knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, Ethernet, UDS, and DoIP.
• Experience with tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, Wireshark, ADB, Android Logcat, Jira, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automotive infotainment systems and vehicle launches.
• Knowledge of Android Automotive application framework and QNX SDP.
• Experience with OTA, telematics, connected services, or automotive cybersecurity.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
