Job summary

Base-2 Solutions seeks an Information Systems Security Engineer to provide cybersecurity and security engineering services for the NMCC at the Pentagon. This is a full-time onsite day-shift position with occasional telework.

The role covers risk assessments, security architecture support, and hands-on security tooling like HBSS, ACAS, ePO, Nessus, and SCAP scanning across Windows and Red Hat environments. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering including design and architecture.
• Ability to identify security risks across OS, hardware, and data transfer protocols.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform or review technical security assessments of computing environments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance.
• Build, deploy, and patch HBSS Windows and ACAS Red Hat Linux servers.
• Manage ePO, Security Center, and Nessus servers.
• Provide Security Center accounts for Vulnerability Managers.
• Analyze ACAS scan results and remediate findings.
• Obtain licenses for HBSS ePOs and Tenable Security Centers.
• Build virtual servers and configure McAfee policies.
• STIG HBSS Windows OS and ACAS RHEL servers; run SCAP scans.
• Document and communicate technical solutions and recommended actions.
