Job Title: Internal IT Support Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Internal IT Support Specialist to join our internal IT team. This role focuses on supporting internal staff by reimaging and provisioning computers, facilitating new hire onboarding, providing desktop support, and performing light system administration duties. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, reimage, and configure computers for deployment to staff, ensuring hardware and software readiness.
  • Support the new hire onboarding process, including account setup, hardware provisioning, and IT orientation.
  • Provide day-to-day desktop support for Windows 10/11 environments including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Manage user accounts and access through Microsoft Office 365, Azure AD, and Intune.
  • Perform light systems administration duties, including basic server maintenance, patching, backups, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintain documentation related to IT procedures, system configurations, and onboarding/offboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure timely resolution of help desk tickets and adherence to internal SLAs.
  • Assist in maintaining internal network hardware, peripherals, and connectivity as needed.
  • Utilize and support tools such as SentinelOne, Threat Locker, N-able, and DUO for endpoint management and security.
  • Maintain a security-conscious approach to all tasks and follow company security policies.
  • Stay current with evolving IT technologies and best practices.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, Intune, and Azure Active Directory.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with Windows 10/11 and common enterprise software.
  • Experience with Active Directory Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and light server support.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SentinelOne, Threat Locker, DUO, and N-able.
  • Prior experience in IT support, desktop support, or system administration roles.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • MSP or consulting experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of relevant IT support experience, ideally in an internal IT or corporate environment.
  • Flexible and willing to occasionally perform after-hours work as needed for maintenance or onboarding tasks.
