Job Description: IT Support Specialist

The role includes providing "Break Fix" support, which involves onsite diagnosis and repair of hardware/software by replacing faulty components or configuring replacement equipment. You will coordinate with OEM vendors for hardware issues and manage "IMAC" (Install, Move, Add, Change) activities, including configuration, installation, relocation, and upgrades of IT equipment.

"Desk Side Support" entails providing physical assistance at end users' desks to resolve IT-related issues.

In Scope:

  • Incident management for endpoint devices such as laptops, desktops, mobiles, monitors, and printers, including hardware troubleshooting and OEM coordination.
  • Support for video conferencing equipment and rooms, coordinating with resolver teams and OEMs.
  • Coordination with OEMs regarding hardware and software issues.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting for technology and applications on all endpoints.
  • Deployment and configuration of new hire equipment, manually or using automated tools.
  • Deployment and troubleshooting of Windows and Mac workstations using tools like Autopilot, Microsoft Intune, JAMF.
  • Hardware and software provisioning (check-in/check-out).
  • Coordinate with other IT teams to meet SLAs and provide excellent customer service.
  • Explain technical solutions clearly to non-technical users.
  • Occasional physical movement of IT equipment within the site, involving less than 4 hours per location per month.
  • Reimage and uplift of leaver equipment, updating asset management systems/CMDB.
  • Update asset management systems according to joiner/mover/leaver processes.
