Boutique financial services firm located in Jersey City is seeking a seasoned IT Support Specialist for an on-site role. You will be part of a two-person team supporting about 75 business users.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and recover from PC and network issues in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Perform diagnostics of network issues.
• Assist in supporting network equipment and internal corporate servers.
• Assist in user desktop issues, help with computer software installation, resolve email access and routing issues, and assist with desktop backup and archiving.
• Assist with the administration and maintenance of IP-based telephony systems, such as provisioning handsets, setting up extensions, and supporting user requests.
• Provide support for day-to-day operational tasks such as proactive maintenance, management, monitoring performance, incident and problem management, security, and backup and recovery across the network infrastructure.

Requirements:

• Understanding of firewalls and associated rules.
• Ability to configure Cisco Switches.
• Ability to analyze data flow and manage ISP bandwidth.
• Knowledge of NAS storage.
• Understanding of issues involved in administering and maintaining corporate LAN/WAN infrastructure, including network cabling, testing network connectivity, firewall configurations, and internet applications.
• Ability to resolve desktop issues in a Windows environment.
• Understanding of network address management concepts, including IP subnetting.
• Experience with AWS.
• Experience with Linux.

You must be able to work on-site in Jersey City, five days a week, and be flexible to start work at 7:15 AM.
