The Air Force Test Center seeking a highly experienced Systems Administrator to serve as a cornerstone of the organization's IT operations. In this role, the incumbent will serve as the customer technical support specialist, planning and carrying out difficult and complex assignments in the delivery of customer support services. The individual will provide ongoing technical support to customers to ensure proper functional use of hardware, software, systems, and programs to preclude undue interruptions to IT services. This position is an NH-2210-03 to work for 96 TSSQ/RNXI at Eglin AFB, Florida.
Provides advanced IT customer support for hardware, software, systems, and applications; diagnoses and resolves complex incidents; installs, configures, maintains, and modifies IT equipment and systems; develops support procedures, metrics, and training; manages IT equipment lifecycle, technology refresh, and related purchase documentation; and ensures cybersecurity requirements are incorporated into customer support services. Serves as the Range Group cybersecurity liaison and subject-matter expert. Administers the Computer Security (COMPUSEC) program; develops and implements cybersecurity policies and procedures; manages user and privileged accounts; assesses system risks and vulnerabilities; ensures compliance with applicable DoD and Air Force cybersecurity requirements; coordinates with the Wing Cybersecurity Office; and supports inspections, account reviews, data-loss prevention, media sanitization, and security authorization activities. Administers the Range Group TEMPEST program by preparing required documentation, conducting inspections of classified processing areas, coordinating requirements and waivers with the Wing Cybersecurity Office, and ensuring approved countermeasures are implemented and maintained. Serves as the Communications Security (COMSEC) Responsible Officer.
Serves as a senior cybersecurity advisor to management, supporting special projects, risk assessments, and strategic planning efforts to strengthen the organization’s information security posture.
Typical 2026 salary range: $89,508-$138,370 per year based on experience (includes locality)

Expert knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of cyber, information technology (IT), or information management (IM) assessment, planning, management, monitoring, and evaluation as well as knowledge of the principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, managing cyber, IT, or IM projects and resources, monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance. Ability to lead and manage information systems planning, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance as well as ability to make decisions or recommendations that significantly impact important agency cyber, IT, or IM policies or programs.
Ability to analyze higher-level policies, principles, and IT cybersecurity concepts and to make effective recommendations to ensure standards are met.
Ability to serve as the focal point for IT and cybersecurity, providing authoritative advice and assistance on complex, technical, controversial, and precedent settling matters to improve the IT cybersecurity program comprising many unique organizations and large, complex computer and communications cybersecurity systems involving both classified and unclassified materials.
Ability to gather facts and use effective analytical and evaluative methods to assess information, plan the sequence of actions necessary, make sound decisions, and solve a variety of network problems; and to analyze component interrelationships and evaluate systems and computer applications from an operational perspective.
Must be able to obtain and maintain IAT Level II certification such as Comptia Security+
Information Assurance Certification is a condition of employment. This position includes Information Assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignment of these duties. A waiver of this six-month requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
