The Air Force Test Center is looking for a Full-Time Security Specialist (NH-0080-02) to work at the 412 Test Wing Information Protection Office (412TW/IP) at Edwards Air Force Base, CA.
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Security Specialist for the 412 Test Wing Information Protection Office. Supports a single or multiple 412 Test Wing/Air Force Test Center RDT&E organizations in the management and integration of Special Access Program, Information Security, Industrial Security, Personnel Security, Information Systems Security, Physical Security, Operations Security and Acquisition Security programs.

Depending on the type of position (competitive/excepted) you are selected for, you will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period OR 2-year trial period. This is a national security position. Must be able to obtain/maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
Some temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required
The incumbent will be required to obtain/maintain DOD certification as a condition of employment. Department of Defense Security Fundamentals Professional Certification conferral is required within 2 years of the established employee EOD or initial assignment date to this position in accordance with DOD 3305.13-M, DOD Security Accreditation and Certification. The listed certification requirements may not be deleted or modified without the written approval of the AF Security Functional Authority (SAF/AA) or their delegated security career field representative.
Knowledge of a wide range of security disciplines and functions, security systems, flight and ground test security operations, concepts, principles and practices that include, Acquisition Programs Security, Information Protection, Information Security, Industrial Security, Physical Security, Personnel Security, Operations Security (OPSEC), Foreign National Visitors and Foreign Military Sales, Technology Transfer. Arms Control Treaty Compliance, RDT&E Test Security, Program Protection Planning and Critical Program Information, Public Release, Communications Security (COMSEC), Emissions Security, Counter-intelligence, and Special Access Program (SAP) security requirements.
Knowledge of rules, requirements, instructions, procedures, or operations applied to administrative work, such as preparing plans, reports, presentations, editing documents, maintaining files, researching and assembling information for various reports.
Knowledge of processes for classified material handling, classification and marking policies, standards and guides.
Ability to communicate effectively and assemble, compile, compose, coordinate and track information for reports, inquiries, investigations and related correspondence.
Ability to plan, organize work, meet deadlines and multi-task.
