We are looking for a versatile, hands-on IT professional to support the day-to-day technology needs of a small organization. This is a true “jack of all trades” position for someone who enjoys variety, works well independently, and is willing to jump in wherever needed.
The ideal candidate will have solid foundational IT experience, be comfortable supporting both Mac and Windows environments, and have an interest in improving systems, automation, and technology processes. This person will also have the opportunity to take on project management responsibilities and help identify and implement technology improvements across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary IT resource for a small team, providing day-to-day technical support.
- Support and maintain a predominantly Apple/Mac environment, along with Windows systems as needed.
- Set up, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain computers, hardware, peripherals, and other technology.
- Manage telephone systems and provide support for the technology components of the business.
- Assist with network administration and troubleshooting.
- Support EDI processes and technology; EDI experience is an important part of the role.
- Coordinate technology projects, system upgrades, and implementations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and emerging technologies.
- Explore and implement practical AI solutions that can improve efficiency and productivity.
- Assist with software, systems, and hardware upgrades and conversions.
- Coordinate with outside technology vendors and service providers when needed.
- Prepare and send Advance Ship Notices (ASN) when orders leave the facility.
- Support retail and customer-facing technology requirements, including Retail Link when applicaple.
- Take on additional operational and administrative projects as needed.
- Help troubleshoot issues, research solutions, and follow projects through to completion.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of hands-on IT or systems administration experience preferred.
- Comfortable working independently as the primary IT resource in a small office.
- Intermediate experience supporting Mac/Apple products; strong Mac experience is important.
- Working knowledge of Windows environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- EDI experience or exposure is highly preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Willingness to wear multiple hats and take on responsibilities outside of traditional IT.
- Positive, flexible attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
