CAL FIRE is seeking an Information Technology Manager II (LEAP) through an examination process. The role involves executive management in IT policy formulation and long-range program objectives, with oversight of multiple IT units. It may lead to the Chief Information Officer position in a large department.

The incumbent coordinates planning, organizing and directing IT work across units, ensuring alignment with organizational policies and objectives, under administrative direction.

• Incumbents in a large department may serve as the departments Chief Information Officer.

This is the managerial level.
