Job summary

Thomas Foods International, USA Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for the 2nd shift. You will oversee daily warehouse operations, assign tasks to forklift operators, monitor performance, and ensure safety and efficiency across the shift.

You will partner with the Warehouse Manager on staffing, workload planning, and shift priorities, while being the primary contact for shift activities. Leadership and teamwork are essential to drive results.

Qualifications

  • Reads and writes in English.
  • Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Clear and concise communication across teams.
  • Current forklift certifications.
  • 3+ years of standup forklift experience in a warehouse.
  • State driver’s license; CDL preferred.
  • Leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

Hours: 1:30pm-10:00pm (moving to rotating 12-hour shifts 6am-6pm in Sept 2026)

About the Job

Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor - 2nd Shift is responsible for overseeing the daily execution of warehouse operations during the second shift. This role provides hands‑on leadership to warehouse employees by assigning work, monitoring performance, ensuring productivity goals are met, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

The Warehouse Supervisor partners with the Warehouse Manager to support staffing, workload planning, and operational priorities while serving as the primary point of contact for shift‑related activities. Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures proper planning, staffing, and direction of the operational functions of the shift
  • Reviews all worker performance daily
  • Meet and exceed all established KPI’s and SLA’s as directed by the company and the customer
  • Lead and motivate team to meet or exceed support expectations on daily basis
  • Provides leadership, motivation, training, and development of workforce
  • Assigning tasks to forklift operators and supervising daily duties of forklift operators
  • Ensure that deadlines are met for orders to be shipped
  • Oversee the pickers by making sure they are picking orders in way of priority
  • Ensure the outbound loads are being loaded in a timely & safe manner
  • Address any issues the pickers or receivers may have in WMS
  • Ability to drive a Yard Truck
  • Ability to drive a forklift (for example, perform basic operations such as driving forward and backwards, lifting and lowering the boom and maneuvering in tight areas without causing damage while following all safety regulations)
  • Ability to work with a racking system as well as loading and unloading of pallets (for example, pulling and placing pallets on/off vertical product racking systems and trucks while maximizing storage by stacking vertically)
  • Ability to use a Warehouse Management System to manage and control inventory
  • Maintain a safe and orderly storage area for products
  • Maintain records of daily check list (pre‑trip inspection)
  • Inspect all incoming product for damage
  • Sort inbound boxes by type
  • Restack, rewrap and repair pallets as needed with careful regard for the product
  • Coordinate the picking of PRC’s & microwave orders
  • Load trucks when needed
  • Fill in as USDA coordinator when needed
  • Ensure the storage trailers are fueled
  • Ensure the storage trailers are working properly
  • Communicate to the trucking department any issues with storage trailers
  • Work closely with warehouse administrator to resolve any issues with outbound or inbound loads
  • Ensure work is getting done in a timely manner to keep the labor cost down
  • Work with QC on any warehouse issues
  • Ensure housekeeping is up to par
  • Performs other duties as assigned within scope and ability

Requirements/Education/Experience/Skills

  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Strong computer skills specifically in Microsoft Office
  • Be able to communicate clearly and concisely to team and across different departments of the business
  • Current certifications for Forklift
  • 3+ years of (standup) forklift experience in a warehouse environment
  • Must hold state driver’s license; CDL license preferred
  • Forward thinking, Critical-thinker, Problem-solver
  • Ability to add, subtract multiply and divide in all units of measurements
  • Possess excellent leadership skills
  • Must be flexible to work all hours as needed to ensure the warehouse operations are running as expected
  • Must be able to lift to a maximum of 60lbs
  • Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Ability to pass a pre‑employment drug test and random drug screenings
  • Understand and abide by all safety regulations as well as policies and procedure set forth by Thomas Foods International, USA.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Must have a high sense of urgency / bias for action
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and time‑management skills
  • Bi‑lingual English/Spanish strongly preferred

Salary/Compensation Range: $65,000-$80,000 annually

This range represents the expected base salary rate for this position. Actual compensation will depend on experience, skills, and other factors. This role is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
