Sanford Barrows Group in South Florida is seeking an IT Manager to lead daily IT operations and strategic projects across the business. The role is 100% in-office with hands-on responsibilities for infrastructure, security, and user support.

You will manage Windows servers, AD, and Microsoft 365, collaborate with vendors, and guide the IT roadmap while ensuring reliable, scalable technology that enables business growth. Fluency in English; Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT administration or management experience.
• Strong background in Windows environment: Active Directory, networking, and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with server management, virtualization, backups, and security.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive end-user tech support for hardware, software, and network issues.
• Administer and optimize Windows infrastructure including servers and AD.
• Oversee network connectivity, security, backups, and system monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on upgrades and projects.
• Liaise with vendors to resolve technical challenges.
• Manage user onboarding/offboarding and access control.
• Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.

Location: South Florida (100% in office, not hybrid / remote)

Salary: $140k - $150k base salary plus 10-20% bonus and excellent benefits that include 100% paid health insurance, and 401k match.

We are on the lookout for a skilled IT Manager who will play a crucial role in the ongoing support and enhancement of our organization's technological landscape. This pivotal position is designed for someone who is not only adept at managing IT systems but also passionate about driving improvements that elevate overall business operations through efficient IT solutions. The role entails a hands-on approach to daily infrastructure support, user engagement, system administration, and the management of technology projects that span across various business functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive technical support to end users, addressing a wide range of issues related to hardware, software, and network connectivity.
• Administer and optimize our Windows-based infrastructure, including servers, user accounts, and essential IT systems, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
• Oversee network connectivity, implement robust security measures, manage backups, and monitor system performance to prevent disruptions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technology upgrades, project implementations, and broader infrastructure initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Act as a liaison between our organization and third-party vendors, coordinating efforts to swiftly resolve any technical challenges that arise.
• Manage user onboarding and offboarding processes, including the configuration of access permissions and ensuring smooth transitions for personnel.
• Troubleshoot a diverse array of devices including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile technology, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution of issues.
• Maintain thorough documentation of systems, IT standards, and technology best practices, contributing to continuous improvement in operations.
• Engage with team members to identify potential areas for enhancing systems, refining processes, and boosting overall IT efficiency.
• Provide training and technical guidance to users as needed, empowering them to leverage technology effectively in their roles.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT administration or management, with a solid background in systems administration and infrastructure support.
• Extensive knowledge of the Microsoft Windows environment, including Active Directory, networking principles, and Microsoft 365 services.
• Proven experience in supporting various IT functions, including server management, virtualization, backup solutions, security measures, and endpoint management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across a broad range of hardware and software, enabling effective resolution of diverse technical issues.
• Experience collaborating with vendors to facilitate technology implementations, ensuring they meet organizational needs.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
• A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred; however, equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure and/or AWS.
• Understanding of virtualization platforms and their applications in a business context.
• Experience in providing VPN and remote access support.
• Knowledge of network security concepts and their implementation.
• Previous experience with ERP systems or other enterprise business applications would be advantageous.
