Job summary

This role directs area-wide End User Operations to deliver reliable technology services in support of the VA mission and Veterans we serve. As an Area Manager you will lead IT operations and teams, provide technical direction across a complex distributed environment, and drive improvements in service delivery,

About the Role:

• Provide direction, leadership, coaching, and mentoring to IT staff, helping develop technical and leadership capabilities across the organization.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve root causes of problems that degrade the delivery of essential IT services, applying sound judgment and problem-solving skills to complex operational issues.
• Use technical expertise to analyze options and make recommendations involving applications, communications, networks, and other IT technologies.

Pay range and compensation package:

• Grade: GS-13
• Appointment: Permanent, Full-Time
• Salary: $106,437-$138,370 per year, subject to applicable locality pay
• Duty Location: Fort Harrison, Montana
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
• Travel: Up to 25% may be required
• Telework: Ad hoc telework may be authorized at management discretion
• U.S. citizenship is required
