The ideal candidate works independently in a one-person IT environment and collaborates with Headquarters IT, vendors, and stakeholders to drive security and efficiency across the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of IT experience in a hands‑on role.
• Experience running and supporting a small or one‑person IT environment.
• Strong English communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security, availability, and reliability of local network infrastructure.
• Manage workstations including deployment, lifecycle management, onboarding/offboarding, and user support.
• Provide end-user/helpdesk support, troubleshooting, incident resolution, and user assistance.
• Manage and monitor networking, firewalls, backups, and recovery testing.
• Support cybersecurity awareness and provide training on new software and technology.
• Identify opportunities for IT process improvements and automation.
• Lead and contribute to IT projects including infrastructure upgrades and security initiatives.
• Collaborate with Headquarters IT on global projects, policies, and processes.

Position Overview

I am seeking a hands-on, service-oriented IT Infrastructure/System Administrator to support a local diagnostic company. This role will oversee the day-to-day IT environment, ensuring reliable, secure infrastructure while providing technical support to employees.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently in a one-person IT environment while collaborating with Headquarters IT, external vendors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the security, availability, and reliability of local network infrastructure.

• Experience with several of the following: Office 365, MS SQL Server, Macola, VMware, DNS, TeamViewer, Druva, SonicWall, and/or Barracuda Firewall.
• Service-oriented and comfortable working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Legally authorized to live and work in the United States.
