Job summary

West-Tennessee-Healthcare is seeking an IS Applications Support professional to understand basic project management concepts, interpret tasks, and participate in system selection/evaluation in coordination with departments. The role includes administration of low-complexity applications and maintaining system documentation related to security, integrity, and functionality.

You will respond to issues 24/7 under the direction of IS Applications management and may be on-call.

Interprets tasks as assigned. May participate in system selection and evaluation process in coordination with functional departments (areas). May assist in the development of request for proposals and be involved in pre-contract negotiation of information systems.Participates in the development of system documentation to include relevant Policies and Procedures relating to security, integrity and functional areas of a system. Demonstrates proficiency as an application administrator for assigned low complexity applications. Maintains/develops knowledge of current IS technology in the healthcare environment. Under the direction of the Manager of IS Applications, responsible for assigned shift as scheduled and for responding to problems 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Employee is subject to call back as required by the hospital.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Responsible for low to moderate complexity application support to end users, including user account maintenance, first-line incident response, assisting with upgrades and testing, documentation of incident resolutions and system changes.Assists with the development and implementation of new information systems applications or functionality. Assists in the completion of all phases of the project including analysis, design, testing, user training, documentation, implementation and follow up. Executes test plans.Analyzes documents and completes IS maintenance activities and end user change requests. Follows change management policies and processes.Investigates, analyzes and resolves IS user and system problems.Communicates with users, management, vendors, and others via email, phone, and face-to-face interaction for data gathering and status updates for all areas of responsibility assigned.
