Job summary

Applied Research Laboratories - UT Austin seeks a security-focused IT professional to manage RMF and JSIG compliance for National Security computing environments. You will assist the ISSM, develop and maintain RMF artifacts, and ensure government systems are secure and compliant.

The role involves administering government-owned accounts, performing audits, and monitoring systems to uphold sponsor requirements. U.S. citizenship and DoD 8570.01 IAT II equivalent certification are required.

Qualifications

• HS/GED.
• Three years information assurance experience in Windows/Linux systems or related area.
• Experience developing and implementing information assurance policy.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize projects.
• Experience supporting various system configurations.
• Experience with auditing various OS and networks.
• U.S. citizenship; eligibility for access to classified information at project levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT government system support across ARL: UT Austin environments, troubleshooting hardware, software, networks, and VTC equipment.
• Administer government-owned accounts and handle user access within ARL closed areas; manage inventory.
• Develop and maintain RMF artifacts including SSP, SCTM, and POA&M; participate in risk assessments.
• Conduct information system audits and monitor compliance with JSIG and sponsor requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
