Job summary

University of Texas at Austin’s Applied Research Laboratories seeks an Alternate Information Systems Security Manager (AISSM) /Assistant Contractor Special Security Officer (ACSSO) for Special Programs. You’ll support RMF processes, oversee security actions for classified systems, and coordinate with the CSSO to sustain security posture across ARL: UT projects.

Role requires extensive DoD security experience, strong communication, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• HS/GED.
• Nine years providing security support in a classified DOD environment.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist the ISSM in planning and overseeing security actions for classified IS.
• Conduct self-inspections and verify duties of ISSOs to maintain RMF compliance.
• Prepare documents, POA&M, and track security requirements for authorizations.
• Manage user IS access and ensure training requirements are met for secure systems.
• Coordinate with CSSO and provide guidance to maintain security posture.
