Job summary

Taft Stettinius & Hollister LLP is seeking an Information Governance/Records Matter Mobility Analyst with 2+ years of experience to join our Information Governance team in the Washington, DC area. The role focuses on implementing firm policy for matter mobility, maintaining IG systems, and coordinating inbound/outbound information with multiple internal teams.

The position requires an associate’s degree or equivalent, 2+ years in information governance/records administration, and strong MS

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years’ experience in information governance/records administration.
• Law firm experience preferred but not required
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information securely
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Teams, and Smartsheet
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Ability to lift 30 pounds

Responsibilities

• Implement firm policy and procedure regarding the matter mobility process
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the technology systems used by IG and their functionality
• Serve as an initial point of contact for lateral attorney arrivals
• Communicate with incoming attorneys, clients, and other firm’s IG departments regarding the matter mobility process
• Serve as an internal resource to answer questions regarding the matter mobility process
• Coordinate the full process for inbound and outbound information, including analysis of data and memorialization in tracking tools
• Collaborate with multiple internal teams to execute mobility tasks
• Perform initial internal review of records prior to transfer out of the firm
• Train IM Specialists and legal case teams on best practices for managing information
• Troubleshoot issues related to technologies and report solutions
• Perform database searches and audits as needed
• Assist with information clean-up projects
• Special projects as assigned
