ALTA IT has a Contract to Hire position open for an Information Assurance/Security Specialist. Active TS / SCI Clearance required. Onsite – Springfield, VA.

Reporting directly to the Chief for Cyber Readiness, you will provide audit support managing preparations, execution, and responses to external cyber audits such as CCORI, CCRI, CSSP, FISMA, and FISCAM audits. Responsibilities include aggregating documents, securing facilities, developing presentations, coordinating audit activities, and conducting internal assessments to ensure audit readiness. Candidates must obtain within six months a certification compliant with DoD 8140.01 and DoD 8570.01–M 1040 IAT Level II and CSSP Auditor.

Job Duties include:

1. Ensuring the Cybersecurity Operation Cell (CSOC) is prepared for inspections and audits.
2. Reviewing regulations, directives, and guidance to identify applicable standards.
3. Performing self-assessments and providing remediation recommendations.
4. Coordinating with contracts, government entities, and activities to address findings.
5. Providing status briefings and reports.
6. Developing dashboards, reports, and other documentation.
7. Supporting internal and external stakeholder collaboration.

Requirements:

• Extensive experience preparing organizations for CCRI/CCORI, CSSP, and FISMA audits.
• Strong understanding of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
• Knowledge of DOD Cybersecurity Services Evaluator Scoring Metrics, DoDIN Inspection Guides, and Checklists.
• Minimum 6 years supporting IC or DoD agencies in an auditor role.
• Understanding of cybersecurity policies, governance, and metrics.
• Excellent communication skills and briefing experience.
• IAT Level II certification; willingness to obtain CSSP Auditor certification within 6 months.

Preferred: ISACA CISA, IAT Level III certifications.
