Job summary

Newton Public Schools, Newton South High School, is seeking a full-time ISSN - Information Support Services & Networking Teacher to create and implement a Chapter 74 program for grades 9–12. Inaugural year focuses on curriculum development with the CTE Director; direct instruction starts Jan 2027.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher degree related to ISSN field.
• Four years of recent ISSN-related work experience.
• Passing score on each ISSN written and performance test.
• Passing Vocational Technical Literacy or Communication and Literacy test.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop and deliver curriculum per MA CTE ISSN frameworks.
• Ensure students master knowledge and competency for workplace and further study.
• Establish a professional, safe classroom/shop environment and track progress.
• Meet teaching responsibilities per contract and communicate with stakeholders.
• Provide advisory support and assist with 8th Grade Night.
• Support CTE Director in ongoing ISSN program enhancements.
