Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care across dialysis modalities in a hospital setting. Travel between assigned hospitals and on-call responsibilities are required; collaborates with physicians and ICU staff to optimize patient care.

You must hold current state RN licensure with nephrology/aperesis expertise and relevant certifications; a supportive team environment and ongoing education are part of the role.

Qualifications

• One year RN experience required.
• Minimum 6 months nephrology experience required before working independently with no other Dialysis RNs to provide dialysis and ultrafiltration services.
• Minimum 6 months Nephrology experience required before working independently with no other Apheresis RNs to provide Apheresis services.
• BLS CPR Recognition. ACLS CPR Recognition preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in multiple modalities including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and Apheresis.
• Supervise and educate Patient Care Technicians and clerical staff; provide direction to ICU staff for CRRT.
• Document patient treatment information accurately in ACES and hospital records.
• Communicate problems to Inpatient Program Manager and physicians as needed.
• Delivers safe, effective care promptly and provides shift reports.
