Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Scientist in inflammation research in Thousand Oaks, CA. The role involves conducting in vitro and in vivo experiments, including organoid and air-liquid interface primary cultures, and testing targets in mouse models of inflammatory disease.

You will analyze lung epithelium function, repair, and regeneration, collaborating with a cross-functional team to advance inflammation programs and publish findings.

Qualifications

• Basic Qualifications require Doctorate or Masters with biology experience or Bachelor’s with biology experience.
• PhD preferred with strong background in epithelial biology and inflammation.
• Experience with both in vitro and in vivo experiments is expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform both in vitro and in vivo experiments.
• Generate high-quality data to support target identification and validation in inflammation research.
• Propose drug targets for respiratory diseases using human genetics and literature.
• Apply AI-driven approaches to generate mechanistic insights and guide experiments.
• Publish and present findings at conferences.
