Amgen Inc. is seeking a Senior Scientist in Integrated Computational and Experimental Inflammation Discovery to lead scientific activities within inflammation programs, integrating bench work with computational workflows to deepen disease understanding and guide hypotheses.

You will coordinate cross-disciplinary teams, develop novel approaches, mentor colleagues, and contribute to publications and patents while advancing translational biology in inflammation.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of inflammation/immunology and drug discovery.
• Ability to lead scientific activities within multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with computational biology, AI-enabled tools, and data analytics.
• Strong communication and ability to mentor colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, execute, analyze, and interpret bench experiments addressing biological questions.
• Apply computational, AI-enabled, and data-analytic approaches for mechanistic insight.
• Develop decision criteria and provide data-driven go/no-go recommendations.
• Lead work groups and coordinate contributions across disciplines.
• Develop novel approaches to improve discovery program outcomes.
• Build expertise in small- and large-molecule inflammation drug discovery.
• Mentor colleagues and contribute to scientific excellence.
• Communicate project data and recommendations across teams.
• Contribute to publications, patents, and technical documents.
