Job summary

STR Synthetic Turf Resources in Dalton, GA is seeking an Infield Freight Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and monitor freight for project materials and job site deliveries.

You will act as the primary liaison between suppliers, carriers, brokers, job sites, and internal teams to ensure on-schedule, cost-effective transportation and to maintain accurate freight records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma/GED required.
• Experience: 2-3 years' experience logistical experience.
• Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail.
• Ability to calculate shipment transit times and estimate delivery dates.
• Fundamental mathematical skills for freight-related calculations.

Responsibilities

• Freight Planning and Scheduling: Enter PO numbers, assign tentative shipment dates, coordinate pickups, and schedule material shipments.
• Transportation Coordination: Assist in carrier selection, assign load to approved carriers, and communicate requirements.
• Documentation and System Management: Maintain freight records, logs, and weekly tracking spreadsheets.
• Shipment Tracking and Delivery Management: Track shipments, monitor progress, and resolve delays with job sites.
• Communication and Customer Service: Serve as primary contact for suppliers, carriers, and job sites, updating stakeholders.
